Step 1: Visit Trezor.io/Start
To begin, open your browser and go to https://trezor.io/start. This is the official Trezor setup page where you'll begin the setup process.
Step 2: Select Your Device
Choose the Trezor model you have, either Trezor One or Trezor Model T. If you’re unsure, look at your device packaging or check the model number on your device.
Step 3: Initialize Your Device
Connect your Trezor hardware wallet to your computer using the provided USB cable. The Trezor will prompt you to initialize it. Make sure the device is recognized by your browser.
Step 4: Set Up a PIN
Create a secure PIN code for your device. The PIN will help protect your device and prevent unauthorized access to your wallet.
Step 5: Backup Your Recovery Seed
Write down the 24-word recovery seed on paper and keep it in a safe place. This seed is essential in case your Trezor device is lost or stolen, or if you need to restore your wallet.
Step 6: Install Trezor Bridge
Install Trezor Bridge software to enable communication between your Trezor device and your browser. This will ensure your device is ready for use with the Trezor Suite application.
Step 7: Finish Setup
Once you’ve completed all the setup steps, your Trezor wallet is ready to be used! You can now send and receive cryptocurrencies securely with your Trezor wallet.
